Design/Project Engineer:
• Ability to develop moderate to complex custom mechanical systems.
• Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes and work closely with craftsmen to develop designs for manufacturability.
• Develop design layouts, drawings, reports, Gantt Chart schedules to meet client requirements.
• Create accurate BOM's for assemblies, create assembly drawings.
• Must be able to communicate well verbally and possess technical writing skills to produce machine manuals.
• Present design concepts and finished designs to clients.
• Ability to complete design projects with minimal oversight.
• Current working knowledge of Solidworks CAD package.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering desired (2 year acceptable with more experience). Five years of machine/mechanical design experience. 5 years SolidWorks experience or combined with other parametric CAD package experience. 5 Years experience with manufactured parts including machining, stamping, sheet metal, welding operations (aluminum and steels).
• Understanding of controls and control system requirements. Understanding of pneumatics and pneumatic system requirements.
• Familiarity with some or all of the following systems: Finite Element Analysis; Failure Analysis; SPC, Design of Experiments; Concurrent Engineering; Design to Cost; CAD/CAE, Parametrics.
Shop Supervisor:
• Must be able to manage production employees, evaluate employee performance and provide guidance as needed.
• Prioritize and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production schedules are achieved.
• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours as needed.
• Ability to implement and monitor safety requirements for production employees.
• Minimum of ten years experience in manufacturing environment with at least two years in a management or supervisory position.
• Must be able to read electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams and mechanical drawings.
• Must be able troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic and mechanical problems.
• Knowledge and experience in machining, welding and mechanical assembly.
• Manage the maintenance and repair of facility and shop equipment.
• Must have high housekeeping standards.
